Mayor of Brčko District Mr. Mirsad Đapo and Director of ITF Mr. Goran Gačnik signed a Memorandum of Understanding for implementation of Second Phase of Integrated Mine Action Plan in High Impacted Community Čađavac in Brčko District, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Brčko District will contribute an amount of 648.538,40 Convertible Marks for implementation of above-mentioned project.

It is important to point out, that ITF managed to attract UNDP to invest 400.000 USD in implementation of First Phase of Čađavac Project. The works and services are planned to be executed during summer 2006 and with clearance of mentioned impacted community the preconditions of constructing the by-pass road around Brčko town will be created.

The implementation of the project Čađavac is a perfect example of cooperation between local and donor community on how to approach the solving of mine problem in Bosnia nad Herzegovina.
