Mr. Dorijan Maršič, director and Mr. Goran Gačnik, deputy director of the ITF visited USA in the period from 29 January until 8 February 2005. Purpose of the visit was ensuring future US support to mine action activities through ITF.

During the visit they met with the representatives of US Congress and Senate in Washington. In New York meeting were held at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), at the United Nations Mine Action Services (UNMASS) and at Humpty Dumpty Institute.

The visit was extended also to Ottawa where ITF representatives met with the representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and Canadian International Developing Agency (CIDA).
