Launch of the 2004 Nairobi Summit on a MIne Free World

The 2004 Nairobi Summit on a MIne Free World was launched near Nikozia on Cyprus by Acting president of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias and the Austrian Ambassador Wolfgang Petritsch. In the words of Wolfgang Petritsch it is expected that the world leaders will establish a concrete plan to fullfil the aims of the Ottawa cponvention between 2004-2009.
