MDDs Handover Ceremony


On Monday, 16 December 2013, a handover ceremony was held to handover 2 mine detection dogs to the representatives of Civil Protection RS, Bosnia and Herzegovina after completion of all training phases at Mine Detection Dog Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina funded by United States Department of State's Office for Weapons Removal and Abatement through ITF. The mine detection dogs were handed over by Ms. Anna Radivilova, Political Officer in the Embassy of United States of America in BiH and received by the Director of Civil Protection of RS Mr. Milimir Doder.

Two new strong MDDs will improve the efficiency of Civil Protection of Republika Srpska demining unit, prevent further delays in their demining operations and contribute to the removal of mine danger in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With the good treatment and proper care for the dogs, these dogs will be able to actively work in the demining sties in Bosnia and Herzegovina for at least eight years.
