Second Donation of Federal Republic of Germany to ITF in year 2005

23.06.2005
H.E. Mr. Hans Jochen Peters, Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in Slovenia and Mr. Dorijan Marši?, Director of ITF signed memorandum of understanding for the donation of 1.85 million euro earmarked for demining activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo (Serbia and Montenegro). Major part of donation (1.7 million euro) will be used in Bosnia and Herzegovina to clear infrastructure and agricultural land and at the same time enable safe return of IDP's and refugees to their homes in more than 20 municipalities all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
150.000 euro will be used for the clearance of recently discovered minefields in Dulje pass (Kosovo) bordering Albania, which will enable safe transport and travel among local population.
