Signing of Agreement between Mine Detection Centre and ITF

At the margins of the Afghanistan Mine Action Coordination Workshop, on 27 March 2017, ITF signed an Agreement with the Mine Detection Centre (MDC) from Afghanistan.

Based on the donations ITF received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Policial-Military Affairs - Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement the signed agreement envisages the continuation of 2016 support for MDC Polyclinic in 2017. The current overall project goal is to provide accessible medical services, limited dental services, psychotherapy and physiotherapy services for deminers, their family members and other Kabul citizens through direct support of MDC Polyclinic and its doctors and other medical personnel. It is anticipated that during the project implementation more than 12,000 different medical services, advisory sessions and therapies for deminers, their family members and other Kabul citizens will be provided.
