Successful auction of US Women Fed Cup team equipment

A very successful auction of the U.S. Women Fed Cup Team tennis equipment was concluded by a champagne toast on 26 May 2004. At his residence the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Slovenia Johnny Young recepted tennis equipment purchasers, representatives of ITF, Slovenian Tennis Association, Finance newspaper, and journalists. Two checks were presented, each for 2.5 million SIT. In addition to auction collection, U.S. Tennis Association added its donation. The 2.5 million SIT was then doubled by US DoS matching fund.Thus, 5 million SIT was contibuted for rehabilitation of children mine victims from the region SE Europe and MVA initiatives.
